Drayton Entertainment is thrilled to be celebrating Grand River Pride 2024 by presenting a speaking engagement with trans actor, activist and internationally celebrated performer, Christina Vegas, titled, “KEY CHANGE: Transcending Expectations and Living Your Truth.”

On Monday, June 3 at Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., you’re invited to a very exclusive talk followed by a question and answer discussion with the star of Drayton Entertainment’s upcoming production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Join Christina as she shares her incredible testament to the power of self-acceptance, personal growth, hope and resilience.

By sharing her transitioning experience with grace and authenticity, Christina invites us to examine the power of fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are valued and respected.

Attendance is FREE OF CHARGE to audience members of all ages, but pre-registration is required.

Christina Vegas is a performer, writer and producer with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. As a singer and multi-vocal impersonator, Christina travelled the world as a featured headliner on international cruise ships, casino showrooms, corporate events and USO tours in Bosnia and Kosovo, where she performed for both the US and UN Peace Keeping Forces.

She has performed on some the biggest stages in Canada including The Royal Alexandra Theatre and The Charlottetown Festival in shows including Kismet, Leader of the Pack, A Chorus Line, Anne of Green Gables and Singin’ and Dancin’ Tonight. This summer, she will star as Bernadette in the Drayton Entertainment production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Christina is also an award-winning screenwriter and producer with films including the psychological/thriller entitled She Came Back, starring Colm Feore (Umbrella Academy) and Amybeth McNulty (Stranger Things). As a playwright and composer, her musical comedy No Chance in Hell, was the hit of the Toronto International Fringe Festival, winning both ‘Best of Fest’ and ‘Patron’s Pick’ awards.
